The emblem is back-breaking. And you get two of them without need to charge up. Such an ability on an object that cannot be removed is terrifying.
Mmm, pithing needle is removable. And can't stop sorceries either. So yeah; it'd have to be a very special environment where this was a sensible thing.
It does encourage an environment with fewer "4 of" decks. Which I storngly approve of. I was about to say "Useless in EDH" but, uh, name their commander? So yeah, it's a lot too much.
Final ability is no longer an emblem.
Increased cost of last ability by 1.
How's this? Opponents can now deal with the last ability, and I increased the cost by 1, meaning it will take three turns to be able to use it a second time.
Vitenka, this is Meddling Mage, not Pithing Needle.
Concept:
• Éon is a Cloudwalker, a humanoid race which appears to be made of glass filled with dense mists. Cloudwalkers can, as their name suggests, walk upon clouds. Some have a natural ability to manipulate clouds, as well.
• Éon is an aberrant Cloudwalker whose body is clear and empty — there are no clouds within him. He is also unable to walk on or manipulate normal clouds.
• When Éon's spark ignited, he found himself not on another plain but floating peacefully within the Blind Eternities. There he found an affinity with the formless mists that fill the Eternities. He can manipulate them as a normal Cloudwalker does clouds, and he can draw them forth from the Eternities.
This seems brutal in lantern control
I don't know enough about that deck to say.
