If Hovermyr can get these abilities for colorless mana, why not an extra point of toughness for requiring two colors?

If we wanted to spice this up, we could always change it to a 2/1 flying vigilance. But a Skyhunter Prowler for is perfectly reasonable.

Over on Tel Eria Guardian we discussed problems of duplication of abilities between the fifteen common flying gold creatures. This is one that wanted to change, because Essencecourt Sentinel also has vigilance.

We were thinking to make this cantrip, like Elvish Visionary/Wall of Omens/Wall of Blossoms. But Aeran Intelligencer loots, which makes the cantrip here seem a bit too good.

So. Other ideas.

• This could be a flying Steward of Valeron, or just tap for .
• But then it'd be nice if it could somehow actually fix mana for colours you haven't yet got. Is a flying Gemhide Sliver suitable for common? (It is after all Birds of Paradise but at 2 mana... see also Utopia Tree and Sylvan Caryatid, both still at rare...)
• I also noticed we don't have very much Enlighten at common. Perhaps this could be a 2/1 flyer (Mistral Charger / Stormfront Pegasus) with Enlighten - gets +1/+1? Or is a flying Watchwolf-on-attack a bit much? It probably is a bit much.
• Is 1/1 with that ability (Enlighten - gets +1/+1) good enough? It makes this a Leonin Skyhunter that's worse at blocking (albeit one who turns manacycling into a combat trick). Leonin Skyhunter and Kor Aeronaut were uncommon, but Leonin Skyhunter was reprinted at common in Mirrodin Besieged...

At 1/2 this compares interestingly to Carer of Cloth and Water. On the attack it's the same except threatening any cantrip or cycler as a combat trick. On defence it's rather worse, but again with the threat. Seem okay?

Yes, I like this. I would have commented earlier but I missed that you had discussed this.

In related thoughts, would we like to have more cantrips in this set? A normal set with Enlighten as a major theme would be likely to have a number of cantrip instants.

I wonder if we can put a number of cantrips in monocolour (like maybe one in each colour at common or uncommon). I hope just "being a cantrip" doesn't make something feel too associated with Aer to be monocolour, even if their inclusion is to deliberately boost Aer's secondary theme.
