It seems that while Link and I are overlapping right now, I'm doing the vanilla flying thing, while Link appears to be doing two scoops of french vanilla. That seems fine, then.
Blue and White are the two best flying colors, and have a strong tradition of getting in there, so I gave them the best flying common creature imho. It's quite possible that this is too high above the curve. It would probably be fine as an uncommon, though, so I suppose we'll just have to playtest to see if it is fair as a common.
Yes, I went with double french vanilla, because I wanted to create the feel of flying being vanilla for Aer.
I think we'll probably end up with a mix of our two versions of the CD creatures. This card, for example, seems more reasonable to me than Aven Glimmerwing.
That sounds about right... if we go 5 CDs at all. Truth is, 14 gold cards aren't a lot of slots. If we have 5 CD cards and 5 non-creature spells, that leaves only 4 more cards in common. It may be wisest to keep 3 or so, if we want to have a more diverse pool of gold. (oh, and probably request 15 gold cards in order to keep symmetry).
I like this one a lot. I do feel sadly compelled to mention that Talon Trooper exists, but this feels like what Talon Trooper ought to have been.
