I had come up with Bond of Love a while back.
For Challenge # 041
Not especially flavouful, but it attempts to capture a "yay, everyone wins" flavour.
I considered making it count lands on the battlefield instead of players to make it less obvious that it scales in multiplayer, but then its too good on later turns.
It should also probably give everyone flash.
Green often has "everone gets mana each turn" and sometimes "everyone gets their stompiest monster", shouldnt there be a red one-off version?
Ok, I suggest that we use the details page for scheduling new challenges, but keep this card for any discussion about it.
I went ahead and edited the pages so:
If anyone disagrees feel free to tidy it up.
It might be worthwhile to:
But Im not sure.
Ok, this is a bit ambitious, but I have faith in us :) Red is always described as being the colour of passions. Eg. they were the mirrans most resistant to the phyrexians, despite often being seen as a "mean" colour with RB evil creatures and RG brutish creatures.
Can you design a card appropriate to an emotion other than "graaaaa! burn!"? Love? Passion for learning? Determination? Joy? It can either be a flavourful vorthos card, or an abstract Melvin "this card/mechanic feels 'nice' when someone plays it."
ability no longer targets
This is basically Goblin Sharpshooter World but leaving behind a giant pile of 2/2 tokens. Which is kinda fun. And it is an excellent reference to the Stations.
Your point about the
ability is sadly correct, and it should probably not target for this reason.
Nice!
Jolly flavourful, at least.
I just realized: for its chaos ability, do you have to target the artifact and/or creature card(s) when the ability goes on the stack, thus making the milling not useful, and potentially not even happen at all if there aren't any legal targets?
If so, would changing the wording so that it didn't target fix the problem?
While the background art wrapping around is bit annoying on Icatia, it's really very funny here. Also, I approve of anything that references the stations... infinite or no.
My first submission wasn't very popular, so I submit these instead: Ornithopter Factory and The Great Machine.
For Challenge # 040. Based on Summoning Station, Blasting Station, Grinding Station, and Salvaging Station. You can't go infinite with this plane, unfortunately, but it still has numerous internal synergies.
Ha! Cute.
For Challenge # 040.
And just to make sure the pendulum wasn't entirely in the court of our custome sets, I added Icatia.
