That is interesting flavor.
It's supposed to be a spirity creature, but a spirit of the constructed building rather than just raw stone. A building's guardian spirit.
Admittedly the name may sound red rather than artifacty.
Oh wow, yes, fascinating idea.
Oh, the "fight this" ability is interesting. It's a really strong anti-human effect. But the opponent, can overwhelm it by playing four power of humans in a turn.
I love the art of Angelarium.
I really like that you made a cycle out of this detail.
Burst-Ravaged Wurm, One Who Mocks Humanity, Condemning Dragon, Condemning Sphinx, and Condemning Angel
See Challenge # 157.
Opted to choose wurm over hydra to complete the cycle. Wurms are supposed to be wingless dragons, so it fits better.

I searched an art to show a less-humany angel to show that angels have turned away from humans.

Decided to do a roll of iconics.
The third ability is supposed to be the sphinx actually trying to erase human's from Teverin's history.
Very cool indeed! Link's point is sensible, though.
I like how this fits Velfen and how you justified it, but it does seem odd to me that two of the modes are removal.
That's a pretty cool effect! I think it might be more sensible just to cast a copy of the exiled card, though, rather than add it to the other one like this.
That's a really neat lore idea, too. :)
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense for velfen. I was considering something similar. It's quite hard to play multiple expensive artifacts (really hard if they're non creature), maybe the boost needs to be permanent?
ETA: I'm also intrigued by the flavour. Is this just a statue or robot in the shape of a dryad? Or is it a stone spirit the way a dryad is a wood spirit? Because a theme of artifact dryads in Velfen would be really lovely.
Oh yeah, birds make sense.
Ouch. Yeah, very appropriate. Those are very useful modes, it may need to cost more, I'm not sure.
Could the first be, "creatures with that type get -1/-1"? I'm not sure if that's stronger or weaker, but it seems to have about the same flavour and be simpler to read.
ETA: Actually maybe "non-human creatures get -1/-1 UEOT" would be about right? But maybe that's too good for just one mode of a modal spell.
Stone Dryad, Emperor Tern, Velfen Charm, and Stalking Brain.
See Challenge # 157.
I thought it might be interesting to look at those islands in the Sea. Since there aren't as many spellbeasts on the water I thought they could have unique ecosystems to themselves. I figured birds would be the most logical choice for inhabitants (though I admit arthropods would work as well).
I went for island gigantism with this one.
See Challenge # 157.
Velfen creature.
See Challenge # 157.
Choice 1: Xenophobia Choice 2: Capitalism Choice 3: Class distinction
Originally I wanted to do something with non-black, non-human for xenophobia, but that looked a mess.
See Spellbeast Rampant.
See Challenge # 157
Hmm. This seems like a blue or red card, rather than black.
Spellbeast Rampant
See Challenge # 157.
Don't know how workable this is, but another spellbeast variant. I thought you might have this on a small creature (where it will usually die the first time it does the thing), a pinger, and a big trample creature.
I wasn't sure if it should be "when" or "instead".
Yup, Cascade like effects with no limit for found spells' CMC will be broken like hell. This ends games as soon as it hits :D Interesting design though.
Is it broken if I build a deck full of non-instant-non-sorcery manafixing, this, and Searing Wind and Time Stretch? Maybe a High Market to get the sac trigger too?
