~ -> Enchanted Creature
Well, it means it taps down a defender, which after a turn; otherwise mightn't ever get tapped.
Uh, assuming this is meant to give the 'no untapness' to the thing it's enchanting; not itself.
I like the idea quite a bit. I feel like Wizards would hesitate to put a land that hurts your life total below rare, though.
Interesting. It's a mechanic that would really encourage you to build your deck with a perfect curve.
You forgot to give this the Aura subtype. Also, to be honest, I'm not sure why this has the "if they don't, tap it" line.
The name made me realize that I should have called the deluges Mournfalls. Hmm.
"Still searching?" Did I miss another entry from you?
That's such an amazing wall to face down a token swarm.
You've surprised me again with this card, by the way. This is fun. :)
Ooooh, giving this some toughness pumps would be fun. :)
Is the name meant to be a play on Scyther, the Pokémon?
Interesting. A fusion of From the Ashes and Planar Cleansing.
I honestly didn't expect anyone to portray the Omniburst itself. I like surprises.
Zhir Abbot
Burning City
Verding Plouwarsp

Wizards always print non-rare duals as kind of mediocre by comparison, but could we have some strictly-worse lands that have a different drawback, not tapped? Or would that defeat the purpose?
See Challenge # 157.
Looking for a Zhir mechanic, I wondered how the love of order and ritual might translate to a mechanic. The idea is like ferocious, they all have the same condition (one CMC less). The benefit here is just an example, I'm not sure what bonus/size this creature should have.
Myriad Warrior
Huskify
Mournful

Another variant on blue removal. I'm always looking for something that's more uniquely blue, and not just "like white, but more expensive". Although I guess this doesn't really do that either.

Still searching for interesting hexproof variants to represent Myriad's spell-storm-proof-ness. Here we have one represented by just being toughened up and somewhat proof against spells, and implemented by a random hexproof. Hopefully a random effect for the opponent will feel better than most random effects.
The Myriad mostly felt red, but this mechanic felt green so I decided I needed to bleed them out if I was going with something like this.
I almost wanted "targeted or dealt damage by" but that was too complicated.
Lots of ideas
End of History
Psyther Worper
Death Wall

The obvious interpretation of spellbeasts is "when this dies", but I wanted to play around with alternate conditions. The idea here is, each will have a "whenever this is dealt combat damage" trigger, some of which will usually be synonymous with killing it, but some might not be.
I might design some other spellbeasts with this trigger, or try some with "when this dies" or another variant, although I don't intend them to be in a set together, I'd choose one unifying mechanic for spellbeasts if I was designing the set.
Oh yes, nice capturing of the concept. I love how different people see different ways to capture aspects of the setting in cards.

I wanted some cards referencing the Omniburst. Did magic ever do "destroy all permanents" without extra text? This is probably the closest we'll get on a sorcery :)
Thank you for the entries, Sorrow. 😀
I think it's pretty close. If it's not correct, it might be "return each untapped creature that didn't enter the battlefield this turn to its owner's hand."
What a nice mix of combo and aggro application put together in a card that still makes sense. I also find the color combination intriguing. I was interested to see how people would interpret the colors.
That's such a nice way to give black triggered life gain in a way that feels on-color.
I also like the implication that the Myriad purposely cause the creation of Husks for their use.
Oh, that's a really cool idea! Honestly, I think the cost is fine, since it does nothing on its own.
Goblin Husk, Disciplined Study, and Velfeshi Scrap Tower.
See Challenge # 157.
Maybe this should cost
or
?
