Wanted to hit this challenge up the first time it came out, but I forgot. Here's Circular Slide.
For Challenge # 160. This is a total cheat. The challenge says "Design a card for a set containing goblin tribal or zombie tribal." I thought to myself, "What kind of environment would contain both Goblin and Zombie tribal?" A likely answer, to me, would be a return to Otaria, the world of Onslaught.
And what would some likely choices for this set? Probably a tight enchantment cycle based around 'When you cycle a card'. Astral Slide and Lightning Rift are very popular. Many players find it a shame that 'the cycle wasn't complete'. But it was. Invigorating Boon, Withering Hex and Fleeting Aven fill out that cycle. But one's an aura, and one's a creature, and neither are particularly good, so people tend to forget about them.
That, and the slide and rift resist reprinting. That's because they trigger whenever any player cycles a card... and Wizards would prefer nowadays to only trigger things when you do something, rather than accidentally hose an opponent. Circular Slide, in theory, could be reprinted in any set with a lot of cycling. Astral Slide... maybe not.
So, yes, a card from a set with Zombies and Goblins that has nothing to do with Zombies or Goblins. :) I'm a stinker. I'll probably come back later with a card that doesn't abuse the premise of the challenge so fiercely later.
Goblin Lace

Goblin tribal. Goblins have had plenty of tribal support. Heck, they had one of the three lords in Alpha. Goblin King, along with Zombie Master and Lord of Atlantis.
MtG goblins are grotsome, small and comedy. Sub-themes of random and sacrifice.
Oh! I know. Back in ye days, we used to have my-colour-boost and colour-hosers. We don't do that now; but we do do tribal boost.
And that colour-hose used to have some lovely lace supports. We don't have those for tribal. But why shouldn't we?
See Challenge # 022.
Oh, is that what the joke is? I feel writing it out has ruined the joke. I know what 1023 is; no idea how big that string of words is. Also, six vs 6.02 is like using 3 in a joke about pi.
I do indeed know it's completely impractical. I don't see how that's an issue. Though I do wonder if you can take a 1m solution of something and claim each molecule is a token?
...tapping them might be tricky.
Even a thousand tokens would be impractical. You could definitely have a different card based around having lots of different tokens though.
I don't think Vitenka realizes how large this number actually is.
That's bad design. And I say that relative to the original proposal.
The pun is worth it, so why make the card logistically unplayable (also "exactly" violates the flavor).
I'm aiming, silver-border-land; for the latter. Get exactly the right number of bits of paper.
As in "exactly six hundred thousand billion billion tokens"? Or something else?
AIUI it's already mandatory as it doesn't say "up to". But I usually play that you can use one bit of paper with a number written on or something if you have too many tokens to be represented easily.
I'm not sure what the comprehensive rules say. "A token is a marker used to represent any permanent that isn’t represented by a card" Does that mean you need a physical object? Can you waive that if it's represented clearly, or can your opponent stall the game until you find that many separate objects?
I think the un variant should have "Exactly" in there. Because I'd love to see that token stack.
Cairn Wanderer is probably the closest to a non legendary mole with haste :-)
And if you choose Mistform Ultimus, the legend rule comes to bite you very shortly afterwards. Unless you have Vicious Shadows or similar, of course.

Still mulling on this challenge. Here's one way of representing a mind-control wizard, who uses their ability on both friends and enemies. It's self-contained, because it can make unblockables by itself, but it's obviously nicer with shapeshifters or other cards that are, or can make, thralls.
Hm, nice. It really wants lots of Zombies in your graveyard, and then uses them up as well: a little bit of in-game tension, but giving up 1 life per turn is generally going to be a price you're willing to pay to kill an annoying creature. Probably needs to be rare - that last ability is reminiscent of Cabal Patriarch.
