Omnic of the Shards
Shrug That's a bit like saying the "When you cast" rider on Elderazi isn't worth it because of Fist of the Suns. If that was the case, then why did they include them?
No, on further reflection, don't answer that. I know there's a good "even if they get countered" response, which is legitimate. Still think spells of extra-ordinary size deserve some sort of 'must be played legitimately' restriction. But, I agree, I don't like this one.
Although better with lands like Stensia Bloodhall if you don't want to fill your decks with win conditions. That probably doesn't make a lot of difference though.
Heh. Instant infinite mana of any colours you have. Similar to Mox Lotus, I guess, which perhaps suggests this is actually slightly overcosted.
I'm not sure it's worth including the "cast from hand" rider on this. There's still things like Fist of Suns.
Unconditional "Win the game" will never be printed. Probably. But Door to Nothingness costs 15 in all five colours. And there's all the Coalition Victory variations.
Normally, I don't give much credence to 'can be countered', but I guess it matters when comparing cards to Emrakul. Emrakul still grants the extra turn, even if your opponent is packing a Cancel. This is still better, in my opinion, but it does pull Emrakul a little closer.
As for the cost of "Win the game"? I don't know. It's almost a trap question, since acknowledging that a card can do that infers that nothing else can be printed at a higher cost than that card (you know, besides Split Second versions of the card and whatnot). I can think of a few effects you can stick past 15/16 ("You control enchanted player" springs to mind.)
Now that I think of it, it's kind of amazing to think that Magic didn't constantly increase it's mana cost to help balance the game. I mean, it did, kind of. But the game would have been very different if it treated cards like Mishra's Workshop as standard, and ignored the qualms of the collectors. Why play with a normal Mountain, when Turbo Mountains tap to add

to your mana pool?
Nexus of the Multiverse costs

Well, it can be countered and non-targeted stuff can hit it.
And, as you say, untargetted "All players" stuff, so some small amount of milling and damage can still get past it.
Given emrakul, I guess a flat "Sorcery: Win the game" costs 18+?
I like "You have protection from everything", but giving the Guardian protection from everything also means... I guess I got to wipe the board? That, and the occasional lucky Innocent Blood I suppose. I'd actually argue that this card is more powerful than Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and that's saying something.
Kneel Before Me
For Challenge # 102. Hooray for designing cards that will automatically be banned in Commander!
Though, maybe not. Fourteen mana sure is alot. I'm not sure where "Knock a person down to one" is supposed to go, but I'm guessing right about here.
I'm also rather sad about that "if you cast this from your hand" line... but I can't let this go off to the Spellweaver Helixes of the world. That just wouldn't seem right. What I really want to do is to give this spell a modest high cost for a modest high damage (
for 6 damage, say) and back it up with an activated ability that discards the card and costs

. Much harder to abuse activated abilities than it is to sneak a spell on the stack. But then it wouldn't fit the challenge, neh?
Shall we continue?
Brightsteel Colossus
Artifact Creature - Golem
Indestructible, trample
All creatures you control are a copy of Brightsteel Colossus.
If Brightsteel Colossus would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, reveal Brightsteel Colossus and shuffle it into its owner's library instead.
11/11
Oops! Colorless was just a typo, it was obviously meant to be green. Yeah, I'd rather this was slightly less "win" but I wasn't quite sure how to tweak it.
Was colorless
Thank you! That's a compliment I value because I don't expect to get it very often :)
Definitely one of the more printable suggestions for this challenge.
Irina the Guardian
Yow, double strike! Nice. I wonder if vigilance is too much, but I guess you do need to justify the increase in cost somehow.
