I've had a couple of spam comments that appeared to be references to Pro Tour Magic players and their decks. I guess the spambot tries to find a blog somewhere where the preexisting content is vaguely similar to the page it's about to comment on, so that it can paste something that looks sortof relevant.
Actually relevant (almost) to the card? That's new.
Very clever Mr. Spambot. Very clever, indeed.
I remember this one, it ayennod me at the time.I've been through the pacifist-non-interventionist bit since, but now I'm with Sarah Jane again. The Doctor wimped out.Did the Dalek's ever claim to be doing their business (a lot of exterminationg mainly I guess) for the public good?I think not.Does that make it OK for the Dr to do use such a claim if he exterminates them?Again, probably not.But he's a Time Lord for gord's sake! Time Lords are supposed to be arrogant opinionated gits aren't they? Isn't that what it's all about?Like Tone and Dubya they're there to make these decisions. It's their job.And if they get it wrong we're all fecked. It wasn't like that in Dr Who, was it?
If the abilities are linked, then you can pay as many times as you want and deal damage that many times. The current wording prevents that shenigan. I do like your costing, however. Unfortunately, it weakens all of the fun combos with Zedruu, Bazaar Trader, etc.
I thought it was probably meant to have "Any player may activate this ability" at first.
This might read more clearly as:
> Enchant creature
> : Gain control of enchanted creature. It deals damage equal to its power to its previous controller.
(Because why are you going to use any other means of gaining control of it?!)
More interestingly again, make this have mana cost and the activated ability cost , or similar.
Aw, crud. I read the card wrong. I was assuming that last ability had "Any player may activate this ability". I have no idea why... I guess my mind thought it sounded more fun, so that's what I saw.
How are they taking their dragon back?
Also funny: Hydrosurge.
Me: I play Dalek Puppet. During your next attack step, I take your dragon. Take 5.
Opponent: Okay, wise guy. I take my dragon back.
Me: Hydrosurge. I take no damage. Next turn, I take your dragon. Take 5.
Well, deterring someone from pumping a creature is the only reason I can see to split the taking control like that.
Or just as a Mind Control with bonus.
Wait, would the ability check power upon resolution? That would be awesome with firebreathing.
Eeeneteresting. For use on firebreathers, I guess?
Aww, the animated gif link is dead! Can we find another copy and stick it somewhere more permanent like imgur?
Another time travel as card draw interaction.
An idea on how to apply time travel to card drawing.
It's no Necroplasm, but I like the similarities that Necroplasm had with time counters.
I'm not sure if the flavor text and the image have similar enough tone to work on the same card. They approach "exploration" differently.
