Aww, but that wouldn't get me all the combos in my first post...
Or "Target player loses the game if they have 6 or less life" :)
But it doesn't actually do what I want, which is kill you if you're on low life. Grumble.
AlexChurchill: [13:17] What you could do is "~ deals 6 damage to target player. At the end of the current step, that player gains 6 life."
AlexChurchill: [13:17] Or just "~ deals 6 damage to target player. If that player has 0 life or less, he or she loses the game. Otherwise, he or she gains 6 life."
:) So massively comboriffic!
Fun with Punishing Fire, Blood Hound, Kavu Predator, War Elemental, any Bloodthirst creature like Scab-Clan Mauler but especially Petrified Wood-Kin, Cradle of Vitality, Well of Lost Dreams, Ageless Entity, Sulfuric Vortex... heehee, I'd want about 12 if this was printed :P
Well, it's always on, and not symmetric. So it's a bit better than those.
I was just thinking about decks wanting something like Mouse.
But you're right, not really very mythic.
Wandering Eye's ability on a 2/2 for
could make an uncommon (a la Dimir Guildmage), or perhaps a rare (a la Grimoire Thief), but no way a mythic.
This needs to be more than
, because that's the standard cost for Sorcery "draw 2" (see Divination, Counsel of the Soratami, Mulldrifter, etc).

is fair enough, although that's an unpleasant cost to have at common for limited purposes (most limited decks can't be monocolour).
Inspired by an answer to 'drawspell' (and probably still undercosted, though it'll usually be 'draw 2')
I also REALLY wish I could cost this at
.
Oh, interesting idea...
Yeah, was testing to see if I could use mana symbols there to avoid the need.
Heh. Yeah, I've not added colour indicators yet.
Huh, the one place mana symbols don't work. (Was testing for creature colour symbols)
Indeedy. I thought there was a special one to force it to use the second version, but ~~~ did... not what I wanted :)
The shortcut is
~,~this~orCARDNAME, all of which assume that you're separating your legend name from its sobriquet with a comma. Like Magic cards do.Ah, except those all only apply to mentions after the first. Legends refer to themselves by full name the first time they mention themselves.
If you don't want that, then the solution is to do what you did, manually write out whatever string you want in the card's text.
What's the shortcut for 'short legend name' ?
