I know Necrobite does not untap, but if that card and Mending Touch can be done at common with no reminder text, I don't see why this can't just because it creates a new blocker.
I rather like this card, but I'm guessing that it would need some sort of reminder text. Many newer players (and some experienced ones) won't realize that regeneration shields last until end of turn... or they won't intuit to use it that way. I'm not sure what that reminder text would look like, though. Maybe "Regeneration shields go away at end of turn"?

...and if it needed regenerating, it'll tap it right back. Confusing.

was put a deathtouch counter and untap
I needed to change it anyway: it's black which gets deathtouch counters in this set.
There should probably be reminder text on all the commons that have keyword counters.
make a 2/2. Red gets value bears at 2R all the time (e.g. Splatter Thug, Hanweir Lancer...)
add a tap cost and lower to
+1/+0 -> +2/+0 (Spectral Flight, Tricks of the Trade...)
