  I've resisted up to now, but after creating (((Sky Pilot))) I have been bitten by the bug. I may have to do my own Steampunk setting :-) (This would be a coloured artifact in such a set - Red obviously).

  Fixed it up, you can either play it as a Clone or Transmute it if there is noting worthwhile copying which was the original intent.

  The ability you want is Transfigure.

  I don't think this works the way you want it to--or it doesn't work clearly.

  Transmute has you discarding a card, and you can't discard a card that's on the battlefield.
