Oh I don't disagree. I don't ever expect to see banding return, maybe a new keyword with a similar ability but not banding itself. That doesn't mean the challenge of trying to fix it isn't a fun one to ponder - which is what these cards were. I mean who doesn't like the thought of succeeding at something that everyone else has failed to do?
These cards - This, Pack Wolf & Band of Brotherswere me playing around with the unfixable merely for the challenge/mental exercise which is why there are only the three and why they are here in Snap rather than in an actual "set". I wanted to explore the design spaces that banding could allow such as this caring what it was banded with and rewarding the right things and Band of Brothers playing with Squadron Hawk's ability to enable getting lots of banding creatures on the battlefield as quickly as possible.
All that said, I don't plan on revisiting banding any time in the forseeable future.
Yes it is but I only wanted the shift going the one way.
This is one of the cards where I came up with a name and then had to fit the ability to it. Is it strictly worse than Power Conduit? Definately. Does it have uses that power conduit doesn't ? yes (not many - as Alex pointed out, you can use this to add counters to your Mirrodin's Core. Does all of that mean this shouldn't exist? I don't think so. Given the limitations of this compared to Power Conduit, it could possibly cost
I've considered that fix to banding myself, but concluded it's actually a very bad idea. It makes banding useless on attack when you only have a single creature with it out. In order for that modified version to work, it'd have to be extremely dense in the set you brought it back, and it'd make for significantly worse play experience.
Basically, dude1818 is right - banding is unfixable.
thanks
"...until the beginning of your next upkeep."

Have reworded it to fit how Delay is worded regarding gaining suspend. Still doesn't counter the spell which was my main goal for the card.
This also goes horribly counterintuitive with spells that already have suspend. There's a reason Delay is worded the way it is.

Isn't that all stuff that's possible with Power Conduit though?
