Nice card, fits very neatly in its colours.
Slight wording change needed to "three or more creatures with toughness 3 or greater" as at moment you can only discount cast it if they have exactly 3 creatures that meet criteria.

I agree, Absorb makes this guy sound like his name should be Sponge Giant. I'd stick with endure and on your mechanics page note that you didn't know abouth Lymph Sliver / Absorb when you created the mechanic.
This seems fine as the cost is quite high. Good mid to late game common.
If you think Volatile Sparkmage is too good to be a common, then what about Mnemonic Mage?

I think Endure sounds like a 'tough' ability, whereas Absorb just sounds squishy.
I'll work on it some more. It was supposed to be like Glory of Warfare but a creature. That's turning out more difficult than expected. Thanks for the suggestions.

The concept is a good one. Maybe: At the start of the combat phase choose one: First Strike or Vigilance. Creatures declared as attackers get the chosen ability until end of turn. At the start of the combat phase choose one: First Strike or +0/+2. Creatures declared as blockers gain the chosen ability until end of turn. It is very wordy but may work better with your concept???
Yeah, granting vigilance to only attackers is actually really hard. Doing it at beginning of combat would work.
The phrasing is also going to be somewhat fiddly. It'd have to be something like "Whenever one or more creatures you control attacks or blocks, choose one - those creatures gain first strike UEOT; or those creatures gain +0/+2 UEOT."
Just to point out, Endure isn't exactly a new mechanic. It was printed under the name "Absorb" in Future Sight. Lymph Sliver to be exact.
Just a note, granting Vigilance after a creature has been declared an attacker will be giving it the ability after it's already been tapped to attack. So you may want a different ability or have the choice made at the beginning of combat step.
I changed it to cast, and as much as I disliked doing it I made it an uncommon. Thanks for the suggestions.
Yeah, that wording works now (though "play" would be better as "cast"). Sadly it's still fundamentally not a common design. Repeatable searching just isn't common these days. I agree with Camruth that a oneoff version could be common.
