Does this have any interesting applications in this set?
Ha! It's Reckless Embermage given the Goblin Sharpshooter treatment. I love it!
And just like Skirk Fire Marshal, it very much wants a Crown of Awe. Though Slagwurm Armor would do.
Hm, it's... wow. It's actually strictly better than Samite Ministration in 2 ways (cheaper, and saves your creatures as well as you). But I still think that's an entirely justified power bump... it's not like Samite Ministration is tearing up the tournament scene ;)
I was expecting this to be "enchanted creature can't be blocked. Double all damage dealt to it" :)
This is the counterspell version. Remove Soul rather than Journey to Nowhere. Except with the "return" clause, so like a more restricted Ashiok's Erasure.
Sadly Shrine is currently an enchantment subtype, but details.
So in this world you deep-fry things into shrines? Ok then :)
But also - isn't this effect, like, white? Sure, you're popping it under an artifact instead of under an enchantment - but that's a very minor variant on an o-ring. And this cantrips too?
added nonbasic
templating inspired by Cruel Entertainment
Thanks @Froggychum, that's helpful
Love this. Simple but awesome :)
I don't actually think the 'first' at the end is necessary. I might be wrong, but the indestructible and fight will both resolve when the spell does.
Also, maybe instead of writing 'the creature you don't control' you could say, "the second creature". It has precedent with several cards, such as Daghatar the Adamant, Cruel Entertainment, and Leech Bonder.
Also, 'the creature you control' could become 'the first creature' in the same vein.
(I was going to suggest changing it to 'target creature' instead, but that might be too strong. Actually, might just make room for an unnecessary decision, since Sorcery-speed indestructible isn't generally useful (for this effect it is, of course))
:)
attempt to improve the color hate difficulty
Huh, that's a weird condition. It's both "Win more" and "Catch up". Though on the flip side, it's a bit underpowering to see it here - Honored Hydra is flat-out better, and green has a number of unconditionally-trampling 6/6 for - though usually as , so this does rank among them.
@Forggychum I didn't realize that color hate was not a thing anymore. I absolutely appreciate the feedback! Yes, it could be an instant. I hadn't given much thought to the flavor - I just liked the name :)
