here's the art

I need to cut one noncreature from each monocolour, to get the common creature count up. There's a fairly obvious candidate in most other colours: Forage, Drummer’s Instincts and Shameless Strut. But in white and blue the choices are harder.

This is one option. It's a pity to cut this, since it enables prowess (Focused Photographer, Dazzling Quicksmith, Amulet of Generosity), lifegain (Triple Scooper, Snack Psychic) and the artifact/sacrifice themes (Throw the Horns, Piecake Eating, Nerd Chic) and is nice with extort (Shakedown Specialist, Pitiless Banker).

But the other options are Cure-All Ointment, which has a lot of enchantments to target in this set, and serves the most conventional Disenchant role since Piercing Light will generally be used on creatures; and Licorice Lasso which also triggers the same artifact/sacrifice and lifegain synergies mentioned above, while also working with the Equipment and nontoken-artifact synergies (Faerie Bootmother, Bootmother’s Blessing, Backup Supplies).

So I think the Teaspoon is on the chopping board. As it were.

Wondering whether I do need both Cure-All Ointment as a Disenchant as well as Piercing Light as a Disenchant/kill spell. I did this search to look at sets where a common white spell killed both enchantments and creatures. On the one hand, Dominaria had both Invoke the Divine and Blessed Light in white (as well as Broken Bond in green). But on the other hand, Gatecrash only had Angelic Edict in white as well as Naturalize in green, Oath of the Gatewatch had only Isolation Zone in white and Natural State in green, and Shadows over Innistrad only had Angelic Purge in white as well as Root Out in green.

So it looks like I could cut Cure-All Ointment or Teaspoon of Vanilla as I choose. This card is quirkier, more interesting and innovative, so I'm inclined to keep this one.
