Yeah tribal is kinda messy.
I could always go with Creature - Forest Treefolk which should make it a legal target for anything that searches for a forest.
or make it a land with : This land becomes a 0/3 Treefolk creature with Defender until end of turn, it is still a land.
Hmm. This is a very interesting idea, but it's got real problems in the rules. Basically, if this worked, the horrible hack that is the Tribal type wouldn't have been necessary.
This is good, you could argue this could be too good but i dont think its really overpowered, considering Riddle of Lightning was played at some point in competitive decks running red Akroma and Greater Gargadon This could be dangerous, this doesnt let you play a little with the top cards and choose wich one, but this one nets you the card. I think is a really cool card, and although the +1 is not often used, i think it has a nice use in this design.
Trying something different here. Stirring Treefolk counts as a forest so any card that searches for a Forest card can get it but cards that search for basic lands/lands can't.
Does it work?
I just meant he general usefulness of this is more limited than the snake. If your opponent doesn't have any artifacts or enchantments in play/being cast then this card is a drawback to play as you either can't cast it or have to target one of your own artifacts or enchantments as it isn't a you may ability.
So a 2/2 for 4 that blows up something of yours sometimes is kinda sub-par. This was designed as more of a sideboard card for the player.
Now with Multiverse's shiny new token frames, this should be less necessary :)
(The titles are designed to be readable if the name is in all caps, which is the way Wizards print their token titles. If people feel strongly enough, I could modify the CSS to make it more readable with lower-case titles instead.)

Though I prefer the first alternate option.

but it still doesn't deal with
cost cards.
Cool, they look great awesome work.

Explosive Revelation has a somewhat better way around the issue of land cards, though.

Agreed, the sacrifice clause is gone.
