The black casting is undercost - especially as an instant-speed discard spell, which are the exception.

Changing the mechanic name to refract. Idk how good that is but I think it is better than Shift.

Secret Infiltrator the upside is you can play the card outside its normal colors in limited circumstances. I feel fine about its cost.

Vitenka I feel like Limited Lightning is cool but serves a different purpose. I'll try designing a few more cards and see if I come to the same conclusion as you.

Why isthe upside that you can pay more in a more specific circumstance?

I would assume you'd want to move the from the shift cost to the mana cost, maybe for different damage.

My thoughts were that birds are small and the flavor was this clever but petite bird that has angels protecting her kingdom.

The ability is impressive, but a 1 mana 1/1 legendary is so disappointing. This seems like one of the generic mana sinks for limited that most sets have a few of
