Huh. This very nearly dominates combat completely. But since all your stuff has to attack too; it's not quite completely one-sided. It's interesting. Certainly a build-around; and a fairly easy one TO build around. "Guess I'll play a lot of creatures, then. Any look for vigilance."

On Glaring Absence:

I guess I just wanted to make multicolored unconditional removal with a drawback, but I wasn't quite sure what colors it should be besides white. Idk why I chose blue though besides blue's spooky disappearance type flavor. Black probably makes more sense.

You're right it should be exile though.

On Glaring Absence:

White doesn't typically get an unconditional "destroy target creature" I think, usually needing the creature to be big or attacking. It gets to exile a creature though.

What makes this blue though? White has the potential to permanently removen creatures, artifacts, and enchantments from the battlefield. Blue hasn't destroyed anything in recent memory.

Also, I don't think white gets to kill planeswalkers, and I believe blue isn't supposed to have answers to planeswalkers once planeswalkers are on the battlefield. To be honest, I could see blue's bounce occasionally hitting planeswalkers though as space that could open up in the future.

Oh, I just realized that the Act of Treason half is also an instant. Yeah, Grab should definitely be a sorcery, which makes the whole thing a sorcery

Making it a sorcery would also be a solution.

I do agree that "noncreature artifact" would make it less of a strict upgrade to Smelt, not that Smelt is incredibly powerful. It also adds a little symmetry

Well, technically cheaper than Smelt, sinc this is Smelt w/ kicker.

The price is fine here - see Smelt (and of course Oxidize). The name is good but sadly undermined by the existence of Smash.

I like it too, though this is one of the cheapest Shatters I've ever seen.

Might I suggest 'noncreature artifact' for the Smash side?
