You're both right, this is much more balanced. I like it how it is.
Costing the BB instead of 1B is really what makes this seem reasonable at common to me.
the card is a lot like Grasp of Darkness. I didn't want to make another card like that, because they tend to warp standard. Like how Fatal Push has changed every format's deckbuilding and curving plans. As a sorcery with drawbacks, it is somewhat fine removal. I also need to fill out commons, so this seems like it works. Instant speed would improve the card greatly - as it does for all sorceries - But I will keep it slightly weak.Moment of craving acted as a sort of guideline, and that card is fine removal in standard, but isn't being played too much because fatal push exist. Seeing what could be done on that mediocre card, i made this one.
sorry, I was thinking that 'crusade' could be used as a word for a group of crusaders. Should have looked it up, my bad.
Cool idea, and yes I'm trying to give each god a corrosponding 'follower' card, but NO gods are getting new cards for themselves. I would need 15 mythic slots to do that, and the set is gonna be a bit smaller than that. I'm trying to balance their importance, as Mogis is kind of the big player right now. I think heliod might have some story presence.

Mmm, a crusade is an event, more than a creature. And this kinda is? It's like all your creatures empowering a mob.
Feels like a bit of a bomb for a token deck. Which is fine. Apart from the lifegain, Crusade is better, after all. Nice sideswipe mechanic though.
Are all the gods gonna get self aggrandising flavour text? I suggest putting literally identical "farther than that of any other god" on Nyx, for the whole day/night thing.
Also I checked and i'm pretty sure this effect is okay, especially at this rarity

agreed. This is a punishing card, and to add to the spikeyness it should be instant (tbh not really adding, a spikey card like thsi should've always been instant, so more like correcting the foundation :D)
Maybe. There's some precedent for sorcery removal. And this is bigger than your average bolt.
One good reason for going instant is that a lot of players will just assume an effect like this must be.
