I was pretty surprised with myself for thinking of it, kind of came outta the blue too.
I think I'll try custom watermarks, because I don't really want to do what I did with Draconica and make people rethink how they see their visual icons. But I'm not great artist, so it might not be the coolest.
Thanks for the compliments on the comboes you did! I definitely feel like they are my biggest achievements so far, the more into the zone I get, the more I think of! My only worries is it might get weird when some types have way more content than others, but I don't think I'll be making a fully balanced set. Those are my latest two and are probably the best because I'm getting the hang of things

Yeah I won't me mixing them here if I do make them, but I definitely plan on making sure I finish the page first. The cards will come second if at all (though I do want to do it, it's far more work than anything I've done here yet)

The only problem is, this can get weird, so I don't want people to see a random white common that does something totally out of pie, but is on purpose because it's part of the white blue grey archtype. So, I will be using watermarks to distinguish how a thing interacts with grey. This means if you see a thing with a certain watermark, it has a different slice of the jumbo pie.
That is a brilliant way of dealing with the color-breaking! I would have never thought of this and it's awesome!
What are those watermarks gonna look like? will they be like guild symbols? I can't wait to see some cards with them!
I also totally love what you did with the White/Black/Gray and White/Red/Gray color combos, their mechanics are flavorful and impressively open-ended allowing for huge design space!
If anyone can make a 6th color work, it's you!
Maybe make a set for them? That could make them distinguishable from your card dump. or just be like me and return to ravnica for the millionth time and add the color there.
