Apparently Sheep are both larger and cheaper than Soldiers (see Camel Jockey).
This card seems less thought out than the red card above.
Since basic landwalk is basically unblockable (pun not intended but acknowledged). And as such not a green ability. There is a reason we've never seen this ability in a world where legendary landwalk and snow landwalk have been tried out.
Green doesn't get first strike and the ability is overkill on a 7-power uncommon. Trample is natural here, but any kind of in-color evasion ability could work well here.
Both trample or the currently chique "~ can't be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less." would work to make this overcome chump blockers.
This is cool. Do this and Spice-Trade Spearman belong to some kind of red-white faction together?
This is too swingy and won't be fun. Cards like these need to have a minimum value by themselves to see play, but at six mana a 2/2 with a drawback is not there.
Putting this at uncommon also means you can rule out ever having enough of those in Limited to make the triggered ability happen, so outside of Constructed (which has better things to do than spend 24 mana over four turns to deal lethal damage to a player that had no removal; and better things to copy with Rite of Replication) this is a six mana 2/2 with a drawback. Period.
This card has no chance of audience appeal.
Also the flavor needs to be tightened. I have a guess why a card with that name might have that effect, but as a card creator you have not used the tools available (like flavor text) to properly tell the story.
Minor tidbit: The "cannot block" ability and what comes after should be separate paragraphs. It's missing a line break.
This shuts down entire decks. It's more costly than old Circles of Protection, but it's also more potent. Basically no more chance for a Fog deck to run out of Fogs.
This doesn't feel like a white card. What's the story with this card?
Lifelink is not in green's slice of the color pie.
"converted mana cost 6 or less" seems like barely a requirement at all. I'd lower the threshold - maybe make it a 4/4 and destroy a creature with power 4 or more, so it can take care of those creatures that would trade favoribly with it.
I actually expected the flavor text to end one letter sooner (or rather with a '.' instead of a 't').
So this is a prequel to Camadoon?
hm true. Change it to one? Maybe make it only ones with cmc 6 or less
Um; this is better than "Annihilate 2." Ok, it costs 6, but it's going to be very very unfun when this hits the table. It'll basically never get to do its thing; because opponents will either have removal for it, or will pick up their cards and walk off.
this card is weird
this set has ALOT of landwalk heh heh
this might help
wow cool info! will try and check it out!
okay i think i will let it bounce
Oddly enough, if it was "deals 1 damage to each player" or "1 damage to you", it'd feel old-school blue (Psionic Blast and Serendib Efreet). You could also do something similar to Dimensional Infiltrator and do something like "
: Flip a coin. If you win the flip, return ~ to its owner's hand."
In general though, it's fine if a set doesn't have many blue cards right now, since you're kind of just creating cards without a real structure to it. Cards get changed a whole lot between sets, so if a design that you like doesn't fit a color, try designing differently to include similar effects within that color, or just change the color as necessary. I'd recommend reading Maro's posts on designing sets and set skeletons to get a feel for how Wizards designs sets. Alternatively, there's a good post on MTGS about designing set skeletons:
http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/custom-card-creation/597944-primer-set-skeletons
At that point it's a common though -- Wayward Soul, Fencer Clique. Could just do U: Return to hand.
--CF
"
: Put ~ on top of its owner's library."?
Just floating away...
You tell me if you know anyone who thinks Youthful Knight is not bulk.
