Maybe? I mean, it's usually "Destroy target creature, for if they control 2 creatures and a more mana if they control more." Sacrifice instead of destroy is worth something; but not that much.
Admittedly; black only seems to get good creature kill at high rarities now.
In multiplayer; it's "Each opponent sacrifices a creature". Which.. huh. Liliana's Triumph. It only costs . So maybe this can even be a bit cheaper.
Yup; Exactly like that.
My only problem with that solution is that it no longer combos with Vigilance.
Also; I feel burrow makes more sense in RG than where I have it in GW; but without flying, Burrow is currently white's only option for evasion. Perhaps I should make burrow a primary set mechanic found in all colours.
EDIT:I Guess tappers are a sort of evasion, and I guess Squadron helps white weenies get around large blockers.
Burrow (Whenever this attacks, you may exile it. If you do, return it to the battlefield tapped and attacking on your next turn's combat phase. It can't be blocked during that combat.)
That is a really good mechanic. Can I borrow it for my dwarf-fortress set? It was getting way too ground-stally and this is a nice aggressive and flavourful alternative.
Hmmm... an interesting idea. There are minor memory issues but I think they are manageable. Could the digger also become untargetable for additional flavor? Eh, that might be a bad idea: unblockability + hexproof should bring ptsd memories of Invisible Stalker to people.
For yet another pseudo-evasion mechanic with the same flavor that relies on flying, you could have Dust Corona(instead):
> Burrow (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with flying.)
but IMO your version is more flavorful. I feel like it needs some minor adjustment, but I can't quite put my finger on it as to what that would be. Maybe it shouldn't be straight-up unblockability? WotC has been avoiding that since it can easily lead to non-interactive gameplay.
Also, 2/1 for at common with an additional ability is seriously pushed. As far as I know, 2/1s for are reserved for uncommon+ rarities (Expedition Envoy and such).
I am looking into better designs for this slot. It's embodiment of darkness, because the BG horror faction is a group of monstrous creatures wreathed in shadow. This is represented by Shroud, which I've brought back as a set mechanic.
Oof, that's an instant, too. Maybe
could work. I'll consider it.

Sounds cool to me.
However, as I commented on the set itself, I am considering a variant of meandering towershell's ability.
Go ahead. @Tahazzar unfortunately dust corona won't work in this set; as this set is an experiment in a limited environment with no flying.

Should I reword burrow to make it an choice when declaring attacks? Like an optional Meandering Towershell

It's identical to banding, but only functions while attacking. The biggest problems with banding occurred with blocking creatures.
Is that... is that banding? What exactly does "blocked as a group" mean? How and who divides the combat damage that the band receives?
REPRINT: Demystify.
