Flavor seems somewhat ambiguous to me. Would 'Golem' type fit here?

Mechanically it looks like it could be crazy powerful and get out of hand really fast.

Golem probably works best, I'll change that.

I think it's a bit less powerful than it initially seems. You have to devote deck slots to noncreature tokenmakers and regular creatures (that become 2/2s) in order for this to become better than something like Parallel Lives. Not only that, but it's also vulnerable to almost every boardwipe there is.

Aren't most creatures vulnerable to board wipes? I know you also mean stuff like Infest, but that phrase sounds comical at face value.

I mean, sure, fair enough. It's triple-{g} as well so that's gonna severely limit it's usability outside of mono-{g} decks.

And you can't even run things that ETB make tokens, even though that's normally what you want in decks that interact with both, because you don't get the tokens.
