We have perforation technology. Now to make wildly impractical B.F.M. variants.

This is one of those "would work a lot better if Magic was completely digital" things. Basically, rules would treat these cards as two separate cards once you've fractured the card. You can bounce them separately and they'd go to hidden zones, shuffle them into libraries with no problem - only from now on, they're separate for the rest of the game/match until you mend them. Note that you can't cast the 2nd half of it unless it was removed from the battlefield and found its way into your hand somehow. Addendum rule: You can rejoin fractured cards with other fractured cards of its same half (i.e. if you have two of this card, it doesn't matter which one you rejoin). The controller of the remended card becomes whoever owns the first half of the mended pair.

It's kind of like Meld in a sense, but in reverse. It's one card that can become two cards.

I can't think of any reasonable way to translate this into paper.
