Well, Training Grounds is the précédent that comes to mind.
And there's also Heartstone, just to muddy the waters a bit :) Yes, I could see this in red (reminds me of Soulbright Flamekin and Ceaseless Searblades) or white. Probably more so than green, actually; green doesn't usually care about activated abilities except to counter them :)
Seems pretty good with Walking Ballista.
