Interested to hear what people have to say about this one. Similar to (but less powerful?) Krosan Vorine.
I feel suicidal (toughness 1) fighters should be red rather than green.
Firmly possible in green though; if there's sufficient flavour.
It's a pretty good ability; and since it has to attack to use it, it's not too unstoppable even if you can throw some extra toughness its way.
I think basically any color (maybe excluding ) can have a vanilla 3/1 Wicker Witch, eh eh? + stuff like Skywinder Drake are rather common. IMO it would be the 4/1s that would be pushing some kind of envelope - though Alpine Grizzly is pretty close. Also, Frost Walker exists, but I guess that's just an exception.
I'm not entirely certain if you place some special value on that "fighter" assertion. Soldier tokens are 1/1 by default for example :) (which is kinda stupid, but what can you do?)
Here's a gatherer search for modern legal vanilla creatures with power greater than 2 and toughness less than 3 (ordered by color).
The point of 1-toughness in this design is that as a standalone card it can only pick off 0/3 creatures or such without also killing itself.
And yes, I found out that the attacking trigger is a nifty way to reduce complexity. For example, if it tapped to fight instead, it would increase board complexity a lot. In this attacking way, much like 's tappers, it can actually reduce the board/combat complexity when it charges.
