This one feels like a bit of a stretch :) It would have been more natural if I could use Mercy Killing but they fixed the "create token + brand" synergy in the rules.
That first ability isn't green at all. Green can't destroy creatures
I agree it probably shouldn't be, but they printed Mercy Killing and Beast Within so it was at least under consideration.
Beast Within has been deemed to be an outright colour pie break. Mercy Killing is somewhat weird... I recall someone (Maro?) describing it as "not quite in white's pie, not quite in green's pie, but close enough to both of them to be okay in hybrid" or something strange like that.
I wonder if the first ability is if anything blue, as it's a Polymorph variant.
In terms of where it should be, I'm not sure. Are polymorph, pongify, and mercy killing all the same? Probably but not certainly.
I feel like pongify could be G or U, but I don't quite feel happy with it in either. (I'd be happy if it were an aura not a destruction effect.) Polymorph would be U or maybe R (because of the random replacement). And I'm not sure about Mercy Killing. I think it's closer to Pongify, but I'm not sure.
This looks like a blue card for sure.
