I was trying to design a control-change themed red uncommon. I missed - this is clearly rare - but it's pretty cool anyway, and mentioning the (((Geass))) card type gives a fun build-around-me theme.

...Though, bother, of course there is the big problem that instant/sorcery Geasses exile themselves but Aura ones don't. I guess this could say "graveyard or exile"? Getting things back from exile is somewhat taboo, but permitted in very restrictive circumstances, such as a way to reuse cards with a self-exiling mechanic (see Runic Repetition).

...No, wait, that's even worse: that allows you to remove the reminder that's sitting on a creature, without actually allowing the first target to be re-targeted. Bleh, OK, that first ability is just pretty doomed.

Down to uncommon. Removed When ~ ETBs, return target Geass card you own from your graveyard or exile to your hand."

Hm. Annoyingly, this doesn't work with most of the blue or red Geasses at all. It's completely redundant with Geass to Betray and very nearly redundant with Geass of Desertion; causes Geass to Inform to be countered on resolution (though it does turn it into a Threaten instead); does nothing useful at all on Geass to Forget; the only ones it's vaguely useful with are Geass of Recklessness and Geass to Evade.

In white, it's pretty useless on Geass of Inaction but works with Geass to Withstand. In black, it works great with Geass of Ruthlessness and Geass to Murder, okay with Geass of Paralysis and not very well with Geass to Die. In green it works okay with both Geass to Obstruct and Geass to Live.

That's not a great hit rate overall... hm.
