Plays well with Consulate Agent and isn't bad with Better and Stronger or a in raid deck that falls behind on board.
I added the flying last minute so that UW could care about it too. I'm assuming that there are enough thopters that being able to attack past them and being able to block them both feel like useful abilities to have (or at least in flavor that the small invisible robot is a thopter)
Flying/Can't be blocked style of double evasion is really weird. Could we make the "can't be blocked" an activated ability the least? Possibly a targeted one?
Flying
: Can't be blocked this turn
: Gains Hexproof UEOT
If the flavor of an invisible thopter isn't strong enough to justify itself we can just remove flying and make it a construct. If it is too weak we can cost 2 and/or have 2 toughness.
I don't want to make this too much like Invisible Stalker but it could have some form of hexproof to make it a better target for auras. As long as it is either expensive to keep up or unreliable like "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery...".
Flying Whenever ~ attacks, target attacking creature with power 2 or less can't be blocked this turn.
I think this as as an activated ability would work better. For example, to use continuumg's proposal, we could mix them together - pay
to have it gain hexproof and become unblockable until end of turn.
always unblockable ->
UEOT with hexproof
always unblockable ->
UEOT with hexproof
~ has hexproof and can't be blocked as long as you control an artifact creature with greater power.
I think that needing another artifact creature is too restrictive. Also now that the unblockable cost so much it doesn't really fit in raid.
Going back to the original plan but one mana cheaper
precedence Ferropede
I like this a lot. Sad that it loses the UAV Flavor, but the simplicity is appreciated.
