Don't Time Walks usually exile themselves nowadays?

Tough to say. I presume that line of text is only there to prevent abuse from a person returning the Time Walk every other turn to their hand. That becomes a less likely strategy the more expensive the Time Walk is... at seven cost, one would think that a deck built around the combo would be unreliable. That said, I would also think that Temporal Trespass would be too difficult to reliably cast too many times in a row too. So...

I should also point out that the only other Time Walk printed recently was Temporal Mastery. We're basing our entire 'must exile' clause on those two cards. Interestingly, Search the City does not exile... which lends credence to the concept that it isn't an important clause if it isn't dependable.

You're missing Part the Waterveil. They only print 1 or 2 extra turn cards each block, but every instant or sorcery one since 2010 has exiled itself.
