I don't see why this can't just be glint. You could even keep the flavor text.

It probably could just be glint, but I wanted to give it more of a science-y feel.

Up the cost and have it give the board hexproof? Cantrip?

I don't get what magnets have to do with anything.

Does blue have a common enchantment any more?
