Inspired by Peculiar Illusion. I got to thinking what other effects, other than "target creature becomes an illusion" combo with themselves to produce an effect of a different colour. Here we have "produce mana in a turn".
Oh! I like this! It's a pity Echo is so maligned. It's such a useful mechanic for creating more variety in casting costs...
Though, I got to admit, this feels like I should get something if I only have red mana. How about adding haste, increasing the cost to
and
, and tapping to add

? It seems like a large down payment, but if you got artifacts it pretty much pays for itself...
The problem I wrestled with is, most echo permanents don't have tap abilities, because according to the rules (I think?), you can tap in response to the echo trigger, and get one use out of them. But it doesn't feel like you SHOULD be able to.
So my logic is, you pay two mana on turn two to get two mana on turn three. That could well be worth it if you get a big creature out of it. It's a bigger cost that it might be since you have to give up turn 2 as well, but that's because the card has an upside if you draw G as well.
I tried to think of a good way to avoid the issue, but I couldn't really. If I add haste or mana of any color, I need a way to show you don't get that the next turn.
