I'm not sure how Wizards has never printed this! Is it broken?

There have been some 1R versions, some that only hit opposing creatures. And Tremor which is quite similar to this. I think this is about the right cost at uncommon, but it seems wizards don't print many efficient red sweepers so it may just be out-fought for space by sexier versions?

Rain of Embers is the closest out there. I presume that's where the Jebediah's card name comes from.

That's the inspiration, yeah! I'll try to come up with a better name real soon. I wonder if R&D just doesn't want sweepers at CMC 1? Tremor hasn't been reprinted since 8th Edition and it's not even a particularly strong card. Illness in the Ranks, Shrivel and Dread of Night aren't cards you see people complaining about, but maybe hosing all toughness 1 creatures for one mana is the problem here. But why would you play this on turn one? I think this is quite an interesting subject - I'll see if I can come up with some other kind of CMC 1 sweeper!

P.S.: Seismic Shudder might be a good card to look at?
