Can the second half be a sorcery? Is there any other way to avoid having a combat trick sitting around face up?

I was actually wondering that same thing! Changing types is something we can certainly do, but I'm not sure if people would notice it changed types on them. That's why I was wary to do it.

I agree that face-up tricks is a problem though.
