both sides of this seem pretty similar
Are the counters supposed to be going on just this creature or on whichever creature transformed?
Whichever creature transformed.
The similarity between the two sides is deliberate, for two reasons: 1)It means that whenever it transforms from the back to the front, the placement of the +1/+1 counter means that its P/T remains the same even after changing back. 2) It prevents any confusion about whether or not to place the counter if this and another creature transform simultaneously.
It probably could have been executed better, I'll admit.
