Are lands with level up a silly idea?
I think this looks awesome. This has an eye-popping final ability, enough so that I think this is plenty playable even if it only makes
(or
), so I'd remove the

Removed ability to produce
Slightly less silly name
I like the idea of level-up lands, but I'm worried that putting a counter on every turn will get unwieldy, especially if you have multiple.
And yes, "draw a card" on a land is pretty strong, although after having to wait 10 turns, that's probably good, if the opponent hasn't won yet they deserve you to draw more answers. I almost like that more than "gain 2 life" which sounds weak, but is more likely to prolong stalls.
I wonder, would just paying mana to level up be better? Or keying off "number of lands in play" like valakut?
Giving it a level up cost makes it much weaker in some ways. Keying off of Islands or other lands actually would make it stronger, especially in a format like EDH.
I suppose this does have the same problem of my loyalty lands, with the counter bookkeeping.
