Needs "under your control"? Or was this meant to be Mystic Remora?

And possibly "nontoken"? Otherwise Hunting Triad comes with a Harmonize kicker.

What about "nonland"? Without it, this is a heft discount on Seer's Sundial. Evolving Wilds / Wooded Foothills go bonkers with it.

Now on a mythic, any one of those would be rather cool. But all three seems... excessive...

Oh. Well, it is meant to do all of those things that you mentioned. I thought of it as a fusion of Mentor of the Meek/Soul of the Harvest, Rhystic Study, and Seer's Sundial. I didn't consider that the trigger was cheaper than that of the Sundial, since this is 6 CMC and two colors. But I suppose it does have the advantage of being all those other things as well.

For now, I'll up the CMC and maybe see what other people think.

Shortened name, upped mana cost and color commitment

Hee. It is meant to do all those things? Heh. That's quite a mythic. That is one metric boatload of cards you'll be drawing. But sure, on a 7-mana legend, go for it.

I'd actually argue against the defender here. I think commanders are more fun if they can attack, and though I can see defender fits the name, the mechanic doesn't seem to really fit the name.

The colour commitment increase makes some sense, but OTOH, squeezes the name a bit, and on a 7-mana card all it's really doing is making sure it doesn't get splashed in an otherwise completely nonblue / nongreen deck.

Oh man, that's OP. I think drawing a card for every players' land is too much, especially since this is really only Commander (i.e. multiplayer) playable.

Wait, doesn't this let you draw a card every time any permanent ETBs under an opponent's control? I mean, if your opponent casts a creature, you didn't spend any mana to cast it...

Also, I'm not sure how necessary that first effect is. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the rest of the card.

Shortened name; previous text "... If YOU spent no mana to cast it...;" previously had "active"

I would like to note the similarities to Sire of Stagnation to the current version. I thought it seemed familiar while I was editing.

@Alex: My two favorite commanders are currently Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant and Feldon of the Third Path. I can count the number of times Feldon has attacked on one hand, and Rune-Tail has probably never done so. I didn't even consider that aspect of Commander when making this. :P

Lame. Of the 14 commanders I've had, there's only two I haven't attacked with: Nekusar and Daretti. And I might be wrong about Nekusar. :P

I'm sorry for not playing Commander in the way that you expect?

I'm just messing with you. Point of Commander is to play how you want. Let me edit in a smiley.
