This one popped in my head. I thought it was kind of weird, so I figured I'd toss it in here.
At first glance, it doesn't look that powerful. But it sure does make cards like Ball Lightning and Sliver Overlord easier to cast... potentially putting both of them in the same deck.
I also find it weird that this seems to satisfy the prerequisite for being a land (adds mana to your pool) all the while refusing to ever tap. I suppose you could make a version that entered the battlefield tapped, and tapped to add mana to your pool. Strangely, in order for the card to not be broken, you would need it to add colored mana to your pool...
Or you could give it "
, Pay 1 life: Add 1 of any colour" (as well as ETBT so as to not obsolete Mana Confluence).
Pretty nifty. I like that it's not a full Chromatic Lantern/Joiner Adept, but only for your colourless-capable lands. Though wow is Cloudpost or the Urzatron potent with this. Tap Urzatron, cast Cruel Ultimatum?
