Huh, I'd assumed "additional card" was a replacement ability. Well, it obviously should be a replacement ability, else it would go infinite :) Not sure how to word that though, "If you would draw two or more cards you may draw that many plus one instead"?

Any ability that uses "whenever" is a triggered ability. The way you've worded it in your comment is better.
