My take on a five-color legendary ally. For those wondering about the name... well, see Vendilion Clique for a similar naming scheme; it's supposed to be 3 separate individuals who always fight together and thus are represented by a single card. I considered making the typeline read "Ogre Elf Kor Ally" to get across the point that this was 3 different people on one card, but I decided that was probably a bit absurd.
The specific numbers probably need a lot of tweaking, but I think this card is a decent enough starting point for something like this. Modifications I've considered include having XCC or XXCC as the cost for the second or both activated abilities, giving it Defender as well as Haste, or the abilities having to sac a land as an additional cost.
This is a fun idea.
I like the idea of having a legend who enables a five-colour Ally EDH deck :) Those abilities are extremely good. Blinking one ally per turn is good enough, blinking multiple is fantastic. And a commander who can get back dead allies (multiple in one turn) is a great antidote to the Ally deck's biggest weakness, which is board wipes.
OTOH this is a (presumably) rare or mythic legend, so... sure, go for it :)
I really like the abilities. Great Ally commander. I would suggest increasing the color commitment, so that in non-Commander formats at least it's a little harder to use. E.g. 3RR and XXHH, maybe even XXMN if testing warrants.
So more like this then? This was actually how I originally costed the abilities, before I started flip-flopping on the cost.
...I should try building a deck around this guy and do some play-testing. Edit: Seems I have nowhere near enough Ally cards to do this.
