Seems a shame that you don't get the +1/+1 counter if there are no targets. Maybe this should be two independent triggers? I assume you made it one ability for flavor reasons... but this seems like one of those situations where good gameplay trumps flavor.
Or "up to one". That usually fixes this sort of thing.
Fighting Essence Harvester for uncommon slot
I think I prefer this card, since it's more different from previous BG archetypes.
This seems too efficient for uncommon but could make a sweet rare.
