Since it counts itself, strictly better than Ball Lightning. Perhaps 4/0 base stats?

Hmm. Good point. I was basing the stats off Ball Lightning.

4/0 sounds right. It's that or bumping it up to 1RRR, say.

Hmm. My initial plan was to have it as a sort of Storm creature. I wonder what the costing (and p/t) would be if it got +1/+1 for each spell played before it this turn?

Yep, thought of him. I do want it to die at end of turn, though. I also like the idea of this being a ~/0, because it's too unstable to survive (unless it's had other magic to feed off).

I'm surprised and pleased that Storm Entity's at uncommon, though. I might be able to bring this down to uncommon.

Mmm, so it can be kept alive, but only with the help of a Lumithread Field type effect. Nice. (Or Incandescent Soulstoke, yikes!)

Or Spidersilk Net. But I agree 5/0 is very cute!
