An idea of a friends. I think that, even at this cost, it's a bit too powerful, but I don't really know. I just want to see what you guys say about it.

I can agree with you there, and that was honestly my first impression of it.

Unacceptable effect aside, why is this red?

I don't really know. He just sent me the card text (name,cost,type, and effect) and asked me "do you think Red could get an enchantment that works kinda like this?"

This effect would be fine if it was white or an artifact and instead said "If a player would cast a spell from somewhere other than his or her hand, exile it instead." It could be a very cheap effect, too... Except in commander, where it would be banned.

Quick, but major, change based on Link's comment.

Card previously read: Scorched Memories 5RRR Enchantment Whenever a spell is cast from any player's hand, exile it instead.

I'm assuming anything like this would be considered rare.
