Oo. So this is fairly similar to...

Creature - Hydra
{g}
~ ETBs with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the highest CMC of creature spells you've cast this turn.

Or perhaps

Creature - Hydra
{g}
Flash
~ ETBs with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the CMC of target creature spell you control. That spell can't be countered.

Pretty awesome as a reward for casting your 5- or 6-drop one turn late. (My versions above go silly with Myr Enforcer or Shriekmaw where yours doesn't, of course.)

You versions are both very fun. I particularly like the second one.

Oh, interesting! Come to think of it, if yuo're going Alex's route, does it make a big difference if it's this turn, or would it be possible to just say "target creature you control"?

Removing the restrictions inherent in my version and Alex's version would make the card more powerful in some ways.
The genesis for my idea here is the fact that it lets you cast another creature spell without fear of either being countered. Making it so that you could cast this during a later turn sort of defeats that idea. That's not to say that a different card concept wouldn't be better. It's just not what I had in mind in the first place.
