I like the concept. I worry a bit about the taking possibilities, but considering you have to tap a green creature to activate the ability, it shouldn't be a problem. Watch out for token decks, though!
It's probably safer at two green creatures. Walking Atlas isn't scary, but Crucible of Worlds sure can be.
Aha! So I just need two copies of Seed the Land/Rampaging Baloths and a land that sacs itself for some effect like Terramorphic Expanse... that doesn't quite go infinite, but it does churn out an awful lot of tokens. Crystal Vein goes infinite, but not many other things do without help from Stone-seeder Hierophant or Amulet of Vigor.
Do to think that's an acceptable number of cards for the barrier to infinite?
Yes, I don't think this needs to change :)
As long as you don't put the entire combo in the same Standard environment.
