My deckbuilding self wants this to be a colorless artifact, but I couldn't resist giving it Simic flavor.

The flavour text is delightfully multi-level. I fear there aren't any great two-card combos with this, sadly, due to changelings.

There is Intruder Alarm, but of course that combos with everything and doesn't particularly care what you choose.
