Blarg, yet another mech that's a bit too close to the Lancelot Z-01 and the Gloucester Royal RPI-00/SC.
The Tristan is fairly iconic and plays a fairly significant role in the second season, but if there's this much overlap with Lancelot and Gloucester Royal maybe I just have to leave some of them out.
was 3WW, +3/+1, "
: gain flying or first strike"
Wait; this allows for "Gain flying, no block? Lose flying; STOMP" doesn't it?
That's a really really nifty space to explore. Shades of ninjitsu.
Yep, that it does. Similar to... how people thought Screeching Bat worked (but it doesn't because it only works in your upkeep)... similar to how some versions of the Starcraft 2 Viking worked... Faintly similar to Frenzy Sliver, for that matter.
But anyway, yes, it does allow that, deliberately.
7 mana feels like a lot to turn something into a 3/2 flyer. But Edwin points out that equip
, while tempting, would allow you to turn lots of things into 3/2 flyers on the same turn... (Well, the current wording does that too, but more expensively.) Maybe
to cast, still
to equip, but just
to transform between modes.
It'd be nice to find a way to make this effect last only while the creature is equipped. One that doesn't make this painfully wordy.
Mana cost down to 1W for now
standardise ability order: static, triggered, activated
actually this should be an exception to the standard order
