I came up with this idea after trying to figure out what mechanic I could have for a Japanese traditionalist (so green), who's a merchant and industrialist. I may have been influenced by playing with Eidolon of Blossoms recently. Then I realised this was just the Seer's Sundial ability, so I thought I'd better add some mana cost. Making it a creature (so more answerable) and harder to cast ({4}->{2}{g}{g}) I think justifies taking down the payment from {2} to {1}...?

Edit: Maro says this is a colour pie break. I probably don't care.

So basically, at the start of your turn, draw an extra card; in exchange, all your lands ETB tapped?

Seems potent, but not massively unfairly so.
