this is a really cool answer, not clear if it's too aggressively costed but if it is it'd only be by {1} i feel.

Hee. Interdict But More So.

I'm not great with balance, but Interdict cost {1} more and got to draw a card. This costs {w} more and is a more permanent solution. It seems pretty fair to me, since countering most activated and triggered abilities isn't as good as countering a spell.
This would be quite fun to use against a planeswalker's + ability, or against a Titan's ETB trigger... or against Maze of Ith.

Yep, I like it. If you're effectively shutting down a permanent, you're getting card advantage just as much as Interdict did... but if you hit a Titan, they've still got a french-vanilla 6/6 so it's far from pure card advantage.

Neat card. I think wording wise it should read, "If a permanent's ability is countered this way, it loses that ability." See Trickbind.
